The HIPE Portal is a web-based application in use in all acute public hospitals in Ireland and its main functions are:
This web application can be accessed throughout the hospital using a web browser and will facilitate additional uses of HIPE data by hospital management and clinicians.
The HIPE Portal uses modern database technology to ensure that HIPE data are stored in a safe and secure environment, either within the hospital environment or on the wider HSE network.
The HIPE Portal interface allows the HIPE coder to access all HIPE modules in one place.
